Hi All,

Have a '93 Blues Deluxe. Have to change my power tubes now. I used to use Sovtek's 6L6GC but the store that carried them no longer carries tubes. The only other local supplier has JJ's 6L6GC.

I know that this is subjective but any opinions? JJ vs. Sovtek? I was fine with the Sovtek's. What can I expect with the JJ's. Delivery will probably be in a few days. Will update everyone what I think after.

Most people I have spoken too feel its an upgrade.

I don't like not having the ability to make a choice but... I have no choice. Hope I like the JJ's :) I will try to keep an open ear.

Thanks.

Location: The Alpha Quadrant.
IMO JJ's are the best tubes out there and especially for that amp. You will love them.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am excited now.

Just a quick one: Since I am going for the JJ 6L6GC, I have an option to get a set of JJ 12at7's vs. keeping my old sovtek 12ax7's.

Your opinions please :D

I don't think you want all 12at7's. Don't get them until someone who knows responds.

Just an update, I finally got my JJ 6L6 GC's in the mail today. Man! Awesome tubes! My friend who recommended them to me says that I should also get the JJ 12ax7's. That I will. Probably next week. Can't wait :)

I must say, the JJ's are the best power tubes I have heard so far.

Be sure to check the bias.
