Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone could help with my issue. I am the proud owner of a blues deluxe reissue 40watts 1X12inch speaker tube which I bought in 2007.

I am experiencing an issue with my clean channel. I can't seem to get a clean sound anymore. I get more of a crunch. If I play at 1 the sound is ok but who play's at 1.

Any volume setting above 1 and the sound is aweful. The distortion channel is fine.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thank you kindly

Patrick

Sounds like your tubes are going/gone.

If you still have the Fender Groove Tubes in there get rid of them anyway and get yourself a set of JJ's. Best cleans from these amps come with JJ's.
If you can't get a whole set at the moment then try just changin he pre-amp tubes for the time being. Check out www.eurotubes.com

Thank's a million! I will start shopping for tubes. I guess this is one of the symptoms of used tubes.
