So... I have an older (mid 90s) Princeton solid state 65. It's a nice little workhorse that has served me well over the years as a good practice amp. Anyway in the course of my last cross country move, two of the knobs broke. (complete break, post of the pot and everything) and as fate would have it, the two pots I lost are the volume pots for both the clean and drive channels.

So I have taken it apart and removed the two broken pots, which are snap in. I found a place to get replacements, and my question is:

do I simply snap the new pots in? Or do I have to solder the back of the pots in the PC board? I haven't touched a soldering iron in at least five years so if I can avoid it, I'd love to. But if not, I'll break it out of storage and freshen up.

Any advice for a relative newb to amp repair?
