can anyone tell my why the chrome control panel on the blues deville is printed where it has to be read from behind the amp?all other amps i've owned can be read from the front?is this a characteristic of the reissue? one guy told me back in the day...big band era... muscians sat behind the amps on stage (guitar and electric piano or keyboard) and they were printed this way to be read from behind.flash back to "The Lawrence Welk Show" or Ricky Ricardo!!
any thoughts?

He was right. Back then, the guitarist did stand behind the amp. I may be wrong, but I believe that most, if not all of the earliest guitar amps were like this with control knobs on top.
