In addition I found 16". Guess the suggestion to mock it up and measure is the best. I bet it will be the 16 or 19. Will try to report back.

do that :)
maybe you should try to measure the length of the legs from about 15-20 cm from the top of the amp?
it may give you a better idea of how long they need to be.
just a suggestion!

I had them on my 76 Twin and hated them. They aim the sound towards your head. Like a previous poster said, he uses a stand. I've used chairs or milk crates to get my amps off the floor. Some rooms you may want to be on the floor. It just depends on the room.

Why wouldn't you want to hear what your amp sounds like? The tilt-back legs or a tilt amp stand are one of the better things guitarists can do to improve their stage tone - instead of blasting the audience with their tone to hear it, you get the sound (towards your head) so that you can have lower volume and mic it for the crowd.

I have a tilt stand for my Princeton Reverb and the legs on my Bandmaster 2x12 and couldn't be happier; the sound guys are also a lot happier.

Got it - if you're not playing where you need to be mic'd I can understand. thanks for clarifying.

Thanks! Bought it as a head from a drummer on eBay and it was in bad shape, but it is a genuine '65 and for the price I got it for I had to get it. Needed new caps, new PT (replaced with a Mercury) and various components replaced. I thought about getting a 2x12 cabinet and the locks to have a head/cab unit, but then found JD Newell, who does repro cabinets. It's filled with 2 Weber ceramic California 12's and sounds great. I still have the original head cabinet in case I decide to go back. All in with the amp purchase, repair, cabinet and speakers was less than $800, so I feel pretty lucky.
