Need some help getting the most performance out of the drive channel. Bought a Boss distortion pedal and it has its good days and bad days. Tried the drive channel in the amp and wasn't too happy. Does anyone have any experience or answers?

Hey

Its the same situation i was in. I retired my hot rod deville 4X10 because it was starting to have issues and was costing me money and became unreliable, and came across a Blues Deville 4X10 used and away i went. Problem was it just didn't have the overdrive for leads the way the old deville had.

So i tried a few different pedals "blues driver-Boss" "gov'ner- Marshall" then a friend loaned me a Pro Co Rat 2, i never looked back, its awesome on the clean channel, tremendously versatile and the best pedal in my mind to run through a tube amp..Just my opinion though..

Cheers
Mike
