I have been getting a LOT of feed back through my 65 twin reverb while practicing with the band. Any ideas? I use a boss ds-1 for distortion but, I have been getting feedback on the clean channel w/ no distortion engaged. ???
The feed back is happening on both channels. (clean and vibrato)
I generally play on 6-8 volume wise.
Just put in brand (4) new 6l6 sovtek tubes.

Help me!!!!!!!

Make sure your not near anything eletronic and even things like WiFi can interfere with valve amps.

Also if your using a guitar with single coil pickups in then they can cause feedback too.

The best thing you can do is try it in a different environment with a guitar with humbuckers and check things like leads and stuff like that.

It maybe the output of your pick-ups, I've had feed back problems with acoustics and my P90 pick-ups being too close to the amp. My P90's output is alot stronger than my single coils on my strat and teles.Try rollin the guitar volume knob down abit and watch your distance from the amp.

I'll try backing off on my guitar volume. that's a good idea. Im using a 57 goldtop reissue mainly. (57 humbuckers). Sometimes i use my p-90 Lp special. Feed back seems about the same. As long as i'm playing, the amp's great!

A friend of mine said maybe the tube are out of bias. Could that make it feed back??

Could it possibly be a microphonic preamp tube? Try gently tapping on the preamp tubes one at a time with a pencil or something. It shouldn't be feeding back with no distortion engaged...
