One thing it could be is, dirty jacks. EFX loop jacks are known to cause these problems, or dirty tube sockets. Get some deoxit and spray into jacks and work a plug in and out. Spray the tube pins and do the same. Check back with results.

Be careful spraying deoxit into the jack. The jacks are soldered right to the board so you be spraying deoxit all over the inside of your amp. Be sure everything is dry before firing up the amp too. :wink:
