Can anyone help me understand which reissue fender vibro king I own? The serial number is 2889 and it was purchased new around 2002. It's the blonde cabinet that has a brownface with an oxblood grillcloth. I'm assuming this isn't the deluxe that's completely handwired, but would like someone knowledgeable to clear this up. Sorry for my ignorance.

Hey Countryman, I'll share some of that ignorance with you. Thought all Vibro King amps are handwired on the traditional style eyelet board. Come on, you got to be jivin' right? Art

The Vibro-King is a great amp. They are hand wired amps designed by Bruce Zinky. The only changes that I'm aware of was the switch to the 6V6 reverb tube from the early EL84, due to high voltage on the plates. The other was the change over to the blackface look instead of blonde. Enjoy.....barryg
