I'm in the market for a new chorus pedal. Any suggestions as to which pedals to try out would be greatly appreciated. I play everything from classic rock to alternative music, and some original stuff too.
Thanks.

There are a lot of them out there to try. I am currently using a Boss CH-1 Super Chorus at the moment. Boss makes a good durable mid-priced pedal that holds up. I'm sure you'll get more suggestions. Go try them out and good luck!

Hey, the Electro harmonix are probably make the best chorus pedals about.

It goes from the cheapest and best know Small Clone(Nano £35($56), Classic £59($95)) to the Stereo Clone Theory XO series or the Electric Mistress XO series(£89($143)) to the more expensive Stereo Poly Chorus (£119($191))

I went through a very intensive search earlier this year and decided on the Modtone Aqua Chorus. Electro Harmonix came in second place for me but I like there's a lot as well. You can get modtone pedals at just about every on line sales site. www.modtone-effects.com

If you're handy, try Build Your Own Clone kits.

I'd also look for used pedals; Ibanez and others made great choruses back in the 80's with true analog components. I bought new an Ibanez SC10 Super Stereo Chorus in '86 and it's still going strong.

Other older pedal include the Boss CE2 Chorus.

good luck!

I have several EH pedals and I love them but the Nano Clone is horrible: 20% volume loss (at least!), can't be daisy chained, eats batteries and is very robotic sounding.

It'll be leaving my board as soon as its replaced.

I love the Nano Small Stone though and my Little Big Muff Pi. Great stuff.

Well guys, thanks for all the advice. I ended up getting the MXR Stereo Chorus and all I have to say is, mmmm hmmmm. I did try the EH pedals and I agree with all who suggested them, I really liked the small clone and the poly chorus. But in the end, the small clone just wasnt enough and the poly chorus was too much. The MXR seemed to fit the bill better than the other two, at least to my ears. Anyways, glad this search is over.
Thanks again.
