I'm using the Dr. Z Brake Lite in my 40 watt Bandmaster and it works very well. The Air Brake is the bigger version that would work with the twin and is standalone.

THD hot plates are a great attunator however, i think it might be possible to tube pull a twin. Im not sure, can anyone verify this?

you can pull the outside pair of tubes in a twin, but the OP has a HR Deluxe, so only 2 tubes.

Really? Will it not mess up the amp in any way?

Do you meant the $20 volume box?

Yes, I use one with my Hot Rod Deluxe and I love it. Well worth it.

Yep, ona Twin as long as you power supply caps are in good shape it won't hurt a thing. A Twin will still be really loud.

Just remember you can't do this trick on an amp with only two power tubes like a HRDlx. You need to have a quad. It's a push/pull design so you need one tube to push, one to pull. If you have 4 power tubes, it's still push pull as long as you take one tube from each side.

I had one power tube fail on my HRDlx. It still worked but was sounding really bad and distorted. It's not good for the amp.
