Well I thought I'd made up my mind on a Frontman 25R. Why did the sales guy talk me into "just trying" a Blues Junior?!?

Now I want a Blues Junior SO BAD! Can I justify spending more than double the price? The tone was just awesome. And the reverb! Mmm.

Someone talk me out of it...

Hey Markus, don't do it. Take a look at this instead. After that maybe you'll want two Blues Junior instead of one. :)

It's been going through my head for the last 6 hours "How can I get this past The Wife"?

I'll have to come up with a cunning plan. When I do, I'll let you know.

Cheers.

PS Claude - you really weren't much help. I think you just made things worse :D

Good luck with the wife.

Mine surprised the hell out of me when she said, "If that's what you want, and it will make you happy, then get it."

I opted for the NOS tweed with the jensen. I think I'm going to replace the speaker, though. The tone is superb, but I find it lacking in the bottom end. I've been researching new speakers and I think I've settled on the Cannabis Rex. Anyone tried one of these in their BJ?

Have a look over at tdpri.com
They have a thread there on the BJ and quite a few people have tried that speaker.

Cheers.

Go play through a Custom Shop 57 Twin Reissue or the 57 Deluxe RI if you have the opportunity. After playing through the best, it allows you to gain a better perspective on the rest to see if it is worth it or not 8)

Not too many places have a 57 twin sitting around. Its all relative to your budget anyways. Its kind of test driving a rolls royce , when all you can afford is a Corrolla. However ,I am a firm believer in buying the best sounding amp that you can afford, that being said , if all you can afford is 4-500 dollars, you can do alot worse than a blues jr.

Hey guys, I've found this and I thought that it might inspire Markus about the Blues Junior dilemna. It is a 17 minutes long documentary on how to make amplifiers lamps/valves. You can turn off the music, I don't like it either and they don't say anything while they work. The guy is an artist at doing things like this. And there is five of these valves in a Blues Junior.

I think that in a few years from now, the Blues Junior will be considered as a milestone in the world of amps, just like the legendary Bassman. :) See ya.
