I inherited a dead Champ 25 from my nephew, and spent a couple of years looking for a PT. I finally had MM build one for me, and put it back together, fixed the original problem, and got the thing working. It sounded OK, but not what I expected, kinda thin, no bottom.
I talked to a friend,(amp tech), about another speaker, and he said I should try the Mojo Heritage he had in stock. It gave it more bottom, and top, the clean channel is almost Twin territory.
The dirty channel is too dirty. I have a few suggestions from amp techs to try to clean it up a little, but pedals through the clean side work fine. I am playing it at bedroom levels, and it's loud on 2. Others have told me that at volume, the power tubes really start to sing.
So if you see a deal on one, don't overlook it.
