Does anyone know if somebody makes a headphone tap that would work on this amp so I can use headphones on it.

Weber makes a headphone tap that you can use: https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/hpa50.htm

That's interesting. Do all of the channels and effects come through as if your using the speaker? If so, I may have to get one of these too.

They should all come thru YZ You unplug the speaker & plug in the box so everything should come thru the box to the headphones.

Similar, but not the same. The Weber device has a 50 watt dummy load built into it. That means that you can switch the amp to the dummy load thereby turning the speaker off.

The ART device runs the headphones in parallel with the speaker. You can't turn the speaker off.

One other point. Unless the Weber uses a "make before break" switch there will be a short period of time where there is no load on the amplifier. I'd do the switching with the amp powered down.

I just got a Super Champ XD over the weekend and it had some buzzing and popping noises coming thru the speaker so I sent it back to get another one. But that was the 1st thing i noticed and didn't like was no headphone jack.

I use the headphones about 50% of the time on my GDEC 30.

As soon as I get my SCXD back (assuming it won't have any issues) I am going to order one of these adapters.

Thanks for bring up this issue and for the responses!

Everything would come through. However, it's the signal before it gets to the speaker and I don't believe the Weber headphone tap has speaker emulation built in (not sure). So it might not sound exactly the same...it'd be minus the speaker coloration.

That Art unit seems similar, but I don't see where it has an on/off for the speaker. It looks like the speaker is always on? Not sure.

Behringer makes a unit (GI100) that has speaker emulation, but doesn't turn off the speaker.

So I'm not sure there is the "perfect" tool for this or not myself.

So I think I've found what my solution would be for this. What I might do for my SCXD if I so decide I want to use it with headphones.

Use the Behringer Ultra G100. That has speaker emulation built in and you can output that to a mixer with headphones. Then a dummy load unit like this one: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=019-020. So the amp output goes into the GI100 and then into the dummy load unit.

I've used the Weber standalone headphone tap with an SCXD for several months now, and have had no problems with it. I'm probably upgrading to a Weber 25-watt MASS attenuator (http://www.tedweber.com/atten.htm) with the headphone tap option; for Christmas, if someone likes me. That allows independent control of speaker and headphone volume, without bypassing the speaker entirely like the standalone headphone tap.

I'm back to wanting a Weber Headphone Tap for my SCXD. Anyone happen to be looking to get rid of one? :)
