I never used them before. Back in spetember when I ordered my SCXD I also got a stage stand for it. I find that for some strange reason my amp seems louder and I know because of the way it is up off the floor it is much cooler due to air circulation. It is to the point now that even in the studio I use it. I love this crazy little thing and it is nice because my amp is in plain view and adiustments are easy. what are your thoughts and experiences?

Yeah Airborne, getting those amps up off the floor is one of the best amp mods you can make. When I was playing the club gigs with the blues band, it was low tech milk crates. We also used little tri-pod stands for our monitors, that really helped to keep the stage level down. Whoever is running sound usually appreciates the stands too. ART

Thanks Guy's, this is great to hear.

I have just put a Fender Blues Junior (Tolex) on Lay Buy and I also asked about an Amp Stand.

I will need a stand for the BJ when I play those smaller live gig's and Rehearsal.

I was also told by the guy at the shop that Stands make a difference.

Cheers.

I also love how stable it is. My SCXD is nice and safe plus...if someone spills a drink I don't have to worry about my amp getting fried. I got the Stage One amp stand and couldn't be happier. I love the way it has several height adjustments...really nice feature!

My experience has been that it all depends on a variety of factors considering the venue, stage floor, acoustics, etc..

I seem to lose a lot of low end when I raise a Deluxe Reverb from sitting flat on the floor.

I picked up one of these stands and it's great with the threaded top tube for a small boom to mic the amp :

...the resulting sound was much more full with more pronounced lows than having elevated on a flat stand.

KK, you are gonna need a stand for the blues jr in live settings. It projects so poorly thru the mix most times that you need to have it up and near you so you can hear yourself. You will be glad you got it.
