Right on Bluesstrattone and Captain Eyeball!

For me I liked the basic black Blues Junior. I saw a green model and the tweed model but I liked the black one.

Thank you for the congrats and enthusiasm!

Most of the models out there are just stock blues jrs, with the exception to the tweed and the red ones, which just have different speakers.Mine is blonde, but its just a stock blues jr.Same with the newer two tone.

Claude that thread you led me to is un-real. The wood cabinets are outrageous. Anyone interested in the Blues Junior amp needs to see that
thread.

Thank you,

-Tagg

Are there any settings on the forums for the Jr? I have had mine for two years and still think I haven't seen all that this amp can do. When I play it seems there is way too much volume and about to blow the windows out of the house. Is there a thread in the forums with users settings?

I have found this for you. Chet is a genuine Blues Junior lover, you can start from his settings and experiment to your taste. Good luck. :)

Hello Tagg,

Some like em, some don't.
For me, it's my favorite amp,
2 years old nary a problem.
Best of luck with it.

Cheers.

Thanks, that gives me a start. Still trying to learn about amps how to get the tone you are looking for.

congrats. The blues jr. is a great amp. I play thru my b.j at a blues jam every sunday, switching between my tele or strat. People make nice comments on my tone all the time, thanks to the blues jr. and guitars. Fender tube amps have great tone and the b.j is perfect for small clubs.

When I get a chance the Bluses Jr. is the amp I want, I've heard nothing but good things about them other than they arn't really for larger gigs.

I got a Blues Junior last Thursday (December 3rd). I've been using a 59 Bassman R.I. for quite some time, but it really has alot more horsepower than I need. Besides, the thought of carrying a much lighter amp is appealing in itself.

Anyway, on Friday I used the Blues Junior for the first time with the band. I'm thoroughly impressed. This amp has the tone I want without the ear-shattering volume. Plus, it works well with the pedal board and it weighs about 20 lbs. less than the Bassman. It looks like the Bassman will be retired to my home studio next to the Vox AC30 that it replaced.

I'm still finding out what this amp can do and as it stands right now this is going to be my goto amp for the foreseeable future.

Sorry about hijacking the thread.

I've had my blues junior for 4 years now (still all stock) and it's still going strong, I do own a twin reverb but I find I hardly ever play through it, the twin has just WAAAAY to much power. The blues junior is perfect for me, it really compliments a strat or tele. I did play around alot with the settings, I think it took me about a full year to really find my settings. I'm not a gigging musician, house player only and the blues junior is just right.

congrats on your new amp!!! and welcome to the blues junior club.

tagg - sounds like you got a pretty good deal! I've owned my Blues Jr. for about a year now, and I love it - very dependable, no issues. I'm sure you'll love yours, too! This amp sounds great at low volumes, but will still melt faces when you turn it up (goes much louder than it looks). This amp makes you really look forward to playing every day. Congrats on your purchase!
