i have just bought a deluxe reverb - i love it, but when i switch it to stand by, there is a massive click (i'm talking loud here) from the speaker itself. Just wondering if anyone can confirm whether this is normal, or i should be heading back to the store.

I also have a Deluxe Reverb and mine does the same thing that you are describing. I have other issues with mine as well but will post it in another post to see if I can get some input on that. Thanks, Jeff.

The contacts in the footswitch could be dirty. Give them a cleaning and see if that solves the problem.

The footsiwch has nothing to do with the standby switch on the back of the amp. My Deluxe Reverb does the same thing and I don't even use the supplied footswitch.
