Hey guys, I haven't used my DeVille in rehearsal in ages and I miss it. It's cos it's a pain in the hole getting it to and from the studio.

I'm gonna take it up there and leave it there but I don't want anyone using while I'm not there so if I remove a 12ax7 every time I leave, will it knock it dead and will the amp be okay if some idiot decides to try and turn it on with a tube missing?

Thanks as always,

CC

Hey CC
Instead of removing tubes to disable the Amp, You can purchase a "Lock Out" cap for the Plug... These can be found at most electrical supply houses

Celtic, Until you can get the "lock out", that Bill spoke of, I think that pulling the fuse and it's cap would be a better choice. The tubes on your amp are board mounted, and the less they're moved, the better. You could of course remove V1 without causing any damage to the amp. ART
