Is it the Boss Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb/FDR-1 pedal you are talking about?

If so then that clangy noise was put in purposely to emulate old spring reverb. Its the one downfall of the pedal as I love every other feature. I only use a touch of reverb when going through my Champ 600 with it otherwise I use my DeVille's reverb, again just a touch.

Its really annoying that they did this although I love the overall tone of the pedal and the Vibrato.

If it's the 63 Reverb pedal from the same series then I don't know as I haven't heard it but I would be very disappointed if they had done the same thing.

You may want to try moving the dynacomp to either the first pedal in your chain, or inbetween the Boss and the TS808.

You can also get a Flip Flopper - http://www.pedalboards.com/new_page_2.htm

Lets you switch the order of effects, like compressor before or after.

Any reason why your wah is out? Easy to send to someone like Robert Keeley to mod to true bypass, so that it doesn't suck tone out when not on - I did it and it's now as if the wah isn't plugged in when it's not on.

Yes it's the boss fender 65 reverb
I found that using a small amount of reverb reduces the
spring reverb clank dramatically.

I didn't realize it would also act as an od pedal

I think I found an option, I will also try other suggestions of
placing inbetween ts808 and bs 2.
Right mow I have bd2- ts808-65reverb- then mxr, I ran out
of patch cables at this time.
That's why wah is out.
I turn on 2 pedals ts & fdr1 , I found a nice tone slightly dirty
just at the pnt of breaking up
by jumper cable between bright and normal chnl

Got it. I'd definitely put the Reverb as the last pedal in the chain and put the dynacomp in front of it - may tame some of the noises.

My setup - built over 25 years, so not all at once - definitely piecemeal.

Dunlop wah with Fasel inductor and True Bypass
Boss TU2 Tuner
Keeley Compressor
Paul Cochrane Timmy
Barber Direct Drive
Keeley Katana
Custom 2 Channel true bypass looper
Loop A - Keeley-modded TS9, original AD9 Analog Delay
Loop B - Phase 90, Ibanez Super Stereo Chorus, Boss DD6 Delay
Powered by a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2
Out to amp.

If you start getting more pedals, you may want to look into George L's cable. Dead quiet, lowest noise, and you can custom make your own lengths with a screwdriver and a pair of scissors. It's all I use and have yet to have it fail me.

Let us know if you like the compressor before the reverb.

It wont tame the noises on this pedal man. It's digital Cosm technology and those random pings are in the programming.

good point, although having the dynacomp squish the reverb may or may not be what the OP is looking for.

Its seems a little odd that you are using a blackface pedal on a tweed amp.Are you trying to use it just for the reverb? If you are there are way better reverb choices.I have a 59 bassman ri and to be honest, when I play it the reverb isnt missed. It seems to have a natural reverb.

Your right bout the amp, it isn't missed very much.
