The Letter "B" Should Stand For the Year 1991

I haven't been able to determine my amps "year" either.

My DeVille's serial number is: B-260331. I bought mine brand new last christmas. And I'm pretty sure mine was made sometime after 04'. Maybe it's newer, I don't know.

I looked on that Fende page also, and it can't be right. I know for a fact my amp hasn't been hanging aound the shop since 91', hehe.

isnt there a small decal with a letter and a digit on it that is a date code ????

I have a tweed Blues Deville and I would love to find its manufacture date as well.

with a 100,000.00 members here someone must know about such things

I just check mine and it has two letters a D and an L on the Quality controll decal

it also says made in the U.S.A. Brea California

any clues that help date it ?????

Got a reply from Fender and they dated my Blues deville to 11-3-1993

When I asked how they determined the date, The reply was that they had a ser# database so as for a usable code on our amps, I dont think there is one.
