Just scored a great deal on a new blues deluxe $550.00 :D
Does anyone know of any issue that could come up after awhile?
This amp sounds great but i did notice the reverb wasn't very strong
after i had moved it around a few times. Looks like the tank is just free to move about the bottom of the cab. Is this alright?

i got that amp too. the only problem i had was a bad speaker jack that was it. i put the fender groove tube s.a.g. fst kit in mine and changed the speaker to a jensen p12n (no bell) just because i love alnico speakers. just remember this amp is bass heavy so turn it down a bit. oh and you probably opened a can of worms by submitting this post. some people love to rag this amp but the're an't nothing wrong with it. just be prepared for the flack from the k.i.a's. play it loud!

The reverb in the amp is ok , not great. There are some known design issues for sure. Some of us have had great luck with it and others misery. It is a great sounding amp.I like it better than the HR,

I have had this amp for all most two years. I recently saw on this forum somewhere about a thing call an Omnisonic volume control. It goes into the effect's loop. So you can crank the volumes to 7 or 8 and turn the omni to like 2 and get all of that tone from your amp and not blow everyone out of the room. I play my start at like 7 or 8 and the amp is sooo nice. Sometimes I find my self not using my Keeley mod Blues driver.. I know now when people say "it has a nice creamy sound" hard to describe.. Btw I got the thing off of ebay for like 18 bucks. I love my set up now. Mark

It is a good sounding amp and the price you got it for was great too.
The weak reverb is one of my complaints that sent me looking for an external reverb unit.
 Enjoy the new piece of kit.

Hopeful you got one of the good ones that has no issues :!:

No issues with mine, after one year, weekly gigs/rehearsals. And I'm happy with the reverb. I mostly play a gibson es355 through it, there's a lot of response, more than from my strat, obviously.

Also I'm deliriously happy with the sound I get from the addition of the extension 112 speaker . Lovely.

Yes agree external cab can help fill out the sound quite a bit :)

Awesome amp. I had one for 28 days and the other night while playing it lost all the bass, volume was on 2, its like it had no bottom end anymore.. I returned it and they had no new ones only mangled floor models so I got a twin reverb.....The blues deluxe has an awesome smooth clean tone for a great price. I wondered what happened to it. It still worked but had no balls anymore. just playing in my bedroom.. I never used the drive on it, It sounded awesome with a fulltone ocd on the clean channel.. You got a great price enjoy the smooth clean tone. :D

I had a Blues Deluxe RI and really only disliked the volume control, or lack thereof. Otherwise, for the year I owned it, it was reliable, etc. I did all sorts of fiddling with tubes to tame the volume, but in the end, sold it to finance the purchase of a guitar, which made way for the amp I've always wanted, the DRRI.
