I've been using a Blues Junior NOS for almost a year but I have been wanting a DRRI or Princeton for a while now. This weekend I took advantage of the "trade-in, trade-up" special at the local Guitar Center. I picked up a Princeton Deluxe for a great price for trading my Blues Junior. Since I only play at home I figured that the 15W Princeton was enough, and it was a little cheaper than the DRRI.

I had to settle for the floor model - seems that the GC's here in North Carolina don't have them in stock. I also notice that they are unavailable on the GC web site. Unfortunately, they couldn't find the amp cover so I'm doing without for now. The sales guy told me that I could exchange for a new one when they got a restock.

Anyway, I've been playing the amp for a day and the sound is much improved over the Blues Junior. Its simple controls mean I don't spend much time fiddling with settings (I'll get to do plenty of that if I get the Egnater Rebel-20 I have my eye on). It sounded great as soon as I plugged in. Also, with two inputs, my wife gets to play along. :?

I'll try to post a picture with my Am. Dlx. Strat, which I haven't posted before, as soon as I get the Strat back from the repair shop...

If you don't mind me asking, how much did GC give you for your NOS Blues Junior? Since you were "trading up", I'm sure that they gave you a little more than if you were just selling it to them. I'm asking because normally, GC (and every other store) will never, ever give you the same amount that you could get from a private sale.
