Hooked up my Pro Junior to a 4x12 cab with Celestion Greenbacks...just to see what it might sound like (used the impedance matching device) and holy shinola....what a sound! 8)

Wow, I bet that was exhilarating!
Could you elaborate on the difference please Mike between stock combo and through the Greenbacks in terms of tone, edge etc? I'd love to hear details.

Much appreciated!

CC

A sound clip would be cool too, if you can. 8)

Well...picture this...the clip is showing a 10" greenback...so just imagine a larger headroom, much bigger sound and less boxy sounding. 8)

I use a single Celestion V-30 in my Blues Jr..
I do have an old Ampeg 2x12 cab, that I also swapped out the factory Celestions for V-30's.
And a 4x12 with V-30's that I generally just run my Marshall threw..
But it generally gives me some good options..
I once used Greenbacks, in all of the above, but even the little Blues Jr could make it flub out...
The V30's have a quicker punch.. ;)
I also have a Blues DeVille, if you like the sound of 10's in unison..
You should hear that monster with a full stack of em..

I picked up an old 4x12 Marshall cab from the 80's and I hooked up my champ tweed clone on it. I never looked back.

4x12gt instead of 1x8.
