Anyone know where I can purchase a Jazz-King amp?

This amp has (from my perspective) an EQ system, reverb, and open-back speaker-cabinet that is ideally suited for Jazz guitar. I tried the Jazz Master and it wasn't the Fender tone I was looking for.

Is Fender going to bring back the Jazz-King?

Is the newer Steel-King the exact same pre-amp/EQ/reverb except a few more watts in the power amp and a brighter speaker?

The Jazz-King was a really good idea, mostly for the pre-amp EQ. Having the Fender Tone Stack in the pre-amp along with the sweepable midrange control, "TILT" EQ, and long spring lush reverb really offered flexibility for players needing a good clean tone. The Eminence Legend 15 inch speaker provided a very rich and full tone.

The Jazz-King now appears to be currently out of stock or discontinued.

The only thing that I would like to see changed in the next issue of the Jazz-King is having the amp and speaker cabinets as separate units to keep down the size and weight a bit. Some of us would like to switch between 1x15 and 2x12 cabinets at times, and the separate "head" would help. I also like to place my pre-amp/amp controls at standing height, and then place the speaker in a separate, ideal location for stage "projection."

Until the Jazz-King returns, I just started using a pre-amp that has Bass, Mid (with sweep), Treble, and level controls. It seems to work both inline before the guitar input (my preference), and also in the effects loop, and is compatible with my Fender amp and others.

Has anyone else also had success with the ADI21 for jazz or clean guitar?

For the price, I think the ADI21 will suffice unless the Jazz-King returns, hopefully in a head/cabinet version.
