First, I want to say that it's awesome that Fender has it's own forums!

Second, am I the only one who'd like to see Fender produce a single-ended amp with reverb? I'm think a Champion 600 w/ Reverb!

What do you think? Peavey has the Windsor Studio...

Thank you for listenting.

Trouble is, Peavey doesn't have the Windsor Studio--nobody does. The production has slipped on that so many times they don't even bother to hazard a guess anymore. If Fender brought a similar monotube power stage model with power soak at NAMM they'd tear the roof off the place. Unfortunately, like the Princeton Recording, Fender would probably charge $1,000+ for it. While the unobtanium Windsor Studio is slated for a $399 street.

Fender needs to address the new crop of sub-$500 tube amps head on. The boxy-toned, though valiant and likeable BJ simply is no longer competitive in a world of the coming Windsor Studios, Kustom Defenders and Bugera 120-watt combos. They're rolling prices back to 1960 while Fender tube amps are looking more and more boutique price-wise by comparison.

Here's hoping NAMM will erase all that!
