Anyone tried the TAD EL84s in their Blues Juniors. I have JJs in there now that are getting pretty noisy.

Any downside to TADs?

Here's some reviews. http://thetubestore.com/el84review.html

I'm new to the realm of the EL84. I have a pair of JJ's in my Egnater Rebel 20. I also have a pair of JJ's 6V6's too. My understanding is that EL84's in general are really prone to tube rattle in combo amps. . But for me, so are the 6L6 and 6v6 tubes I run. My JJ's are fine for now but I think I may go with Gold Lion. You can go with JAN Phillips NOS but at $100 a pair I'd probably pass. Whatever you choose, be sure to have the bias checked.

Is the noise mechanical (Tube Rattle) or hiss? If it's tube rattle, you could try some tube dampers.
