boles,
Just get it replaced. It's silly to be disappointed in Egnater. Most times you return defective products to the point of purchase. At least they apologized and are taking action with the cabinet supplier. It's probably easier to rectify your problem through 123 Music. Slide the amp head out of the head cabinet and when you see how well it's made you'll have another smile on your face. I really well made. That's why I never deal with guitars and amps mail order.
It's just easier in case something goes wrong.

I'm not dealing with the hassle of sending back a 31 pound speaker to Music123 when I have zero guarantee I won't be sent the same sort of aesthetic mess back again.

Only Egnater direct can guarantee I'm sent a proper replacement and they won't do it. They've sloughed off their mistake onto Music123 and me.

I won't buy or recommend Egnater again. They should've bucked up and shouldered this as their fault, not Music123's or mine, and done right by me.

Boles,
Just read through this thread and no offense but the first thing that came to mind was "karma". Don't get me wrong, egnaters are great amps but in my opinion I don't think they should be discussed/promoted on a "Fender" forum. It's like someone recommending a Ford Mustang on a Corvette forum. Anyways, I hope evverything gets taken care of and you enjoy your new amp.
On the PRRI vs Blue's Jr. issue, I would prefer a PRRI over a blues jr. Yes it might need to be miked to hear over a drummer, but if you're playing a gig that big, it's probably a good idea anyways.
Cheers.

I started this as a Fender topic.

I don't understand your karma invocation.

Karma is paid back in the second life, not in the current life.

Please explain your point.

boles, did you expect Bruce Egnater to deliver it personally? Just call them and tell them your position. I've had to hump my HRDlx back and forth to the service center which was 30 miles from my home many times. Fedex and UPS would come right to your door for a pickup, so where's the hassle? 123 Music isn't being punished, they will be reimbursed by Egnater.

If people want to discuss products other than Fender, what's the problem? It's done on many other forums.

I wasn't trying to make a point and if I offended you I apologize. Maybe Karma was a bad choice of words. I know you are going to enjoy the rebel 20 and I'll leave it at that.

Fair enough, but if you're going to hit me for talking about Egnater when I wasn't the first to bring up Egnater, then I hope you -- as the self-deputized Fender Forum Authority for Karma -- go to each and every person who brings up the "Callaham Tremolo Block" and give them your same dunning notice.

I never said don't talk about other brands, I just stated my opinion as to how I feel about the issue. Anyone and everyone is welcomed to do as they choose, and not because I said so, but because it's their right.

Boles,
here is the Egnater forum
http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=26
I think your grill cloth problem is an isolated incident. You can complain about it there.

Fender323 apologized. Leave it at that. No need to get hostile he's a good person. I suggested the Egnater and so did SlapChop. Blame us. I will still recommend the amp. You can't deny it's an amazing sounding amp. :D
I find their customer service to be top notch. Maybe it's the tone you used with them.

I'm still amazed I haven't been banished for discussing Egnater amps. That speaks volumes for Fenders open mindedness and respect for freedom of speech. I get questions all the time about Egnater and at least 7 of my guitar playing friends now own Egnater amps and none had even a minor issue with them. It will be kind of funny when we have our annual guitar summit at my friends studio and 7 out of 12 of us are playing Egnaters.

What is your real name and relationship with Egnater? You seem to fully defend and promote them here in the Fender forum -- yet I am supposed to go to the Egnater forum to complain? What is your relationship with Nate at Egnater and why did you suggest I contact him?

You don't know if this is an isolated incident or not -- unless you're an Egnater shill or you have a vested interest in Egnater -- and my tone with them was fine and informative at first because I was celebrating their product in my initial review and had contacted them about the review before I posted notice of the review here.

I'm just a happy Egnater owner. If there were problems like that on a continuing basis, you'd hear about it. No need for the name calling. I tried to help you but you're being really childish about your whole situation and I'm done with you. I've taken the time to answer every question you've tossed at me as well as I can. I could call you a few names, but won't resort to your tactics. My time is a little more valuable to me. :?

Ah! Now you're quiet and non-responsive when pressed on full disclosure.

This whole thread has turned inside and out and I apologize to the fresh eyes viewing this for the first time.

I am culpable and unhappy and I won't post anything else in this thread.

I'm out.

Peace out.
