Pulled the trigger and getting the Deluxe VM. Thanks for everyone's opinions suggestions in my search. The nice thing is with the DSP effects in the amp some nights I can just leave the pedals at home and use the amp for the chorus/delay that I use. I will let you guys know how she sounds after I play through it.

Yeah, keep us posted. I only had mine for a couple of weeks (it was too loud), but I'm thinking I'll get another one (I now have an attenuator), so any feedback would be good.

Well...I had a change of heart guys...went and changed up the order..I got the SuperChampXD...I heard a guy playing it and thought...man it would be so nice not to have to lug around a ton of geat...heavy combos etc..I plugged in and fell in love. It has the volume I need and the fx that make it easy to leave the pedal board at home. I really love the sound and applicability of this little amp. I know...funny...LOL but...well I ain't getting any younger.. :D so in this case smaller is better

That's funny, because I've decided I'll keep my SCXD and not bother with the VM. I can't fault the SCXD clean channel and one thing I forgot about the VM is that it was a bit noisy... the SCXD is almost silent. I use a THD attenuator with mine, so I can turn it up to 7-8 and get a lovely overdriven tube tone at volume's my dog approves of!

For the people who think that the Ensenada factory doesn't make a quality product, this is proof.

You can listen/watch Shane speak of it being MIM here :

You won't be sorry at all with your decision. I have 5 Fender amps and my SCXD is by far my favorite. Great tone and a manageable size. It has plenty of volume for small gigs but you can always mic' it if you need more. One of the best amps Fender has introduced in recent years. Congratulations on your purchase!

vette,
Thanks much...man it is an incredible amp...my Marshall and my Peavey now arew relegated to sitting in the background as ornaments. I am amazed at the tone and power ot the SCXD. I even left my gorgeous Digitech RP355 pedal home...no longer need it when I am using my SC. Talk about a quality product!

HAHA! Mike, that's something I would probably do. Not the cheapest, not the best, but value for the dollar. Just depends on how you interpret it.

i'm sitting listening to it on youtube right now. a lot of fun in one wee box it seems. might just be a bit too small for my needs, which is why the vm might be the way to go. but once that's done, i'd love one of those superchampxd's for the house
