I've been playing guitar for about 8 years, and playing electric for about 3. I used to have an EXTREMELY cheap Silvertone starter pack, but I sold that for a Squire Jagmaster (A big step up). I also had a lot of experience with Solid State amps, and I was wondering if a Blues Junior was a good choice for a new amp (I don't have one because I sold it to buy the Jagmaster). Thanks!

Compared to what you have a blues jr is a good choice.I dont know how much you gig , but it has some reliability issues.I have had 2 and have not had any problems with.

It's a perfectly fine introduction to valve amps. It has more features than its little brother, the Pro Junior, but doesn't sound quite as good. Tons of people have them, though, and they're perfectly fine for gigging so long as it's miced.
