I currently replaced R78 and R79 5w resistors. I noticed that the PCB board was scorched black on some of the leads from the old resistors. Once I replaced the old resistors with the new, my effects loop will not work as well as my reverb and presence controls. Everything else works great. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any ideas?
Thanks

After doing some research, I think I jacked up the solder joints. I also found out that the reverb and channel switching use the DC voltage from these resistors. Looks like I will be soldering jumper wires. Have any of you had to do the same. If so, do you have any pictures?
Thanks

Are the traces okay or did they lift?

Not sure what you mean by lift, but they are black and the while I removed the old resisors that little piece of round silver thing came off hte board. I tried to fill it with solder. If I decide to use jumpers, what size wire should I use?

That's what lifting is. The trace coming off the board. The PCB's are garbage on these amps. The jumpers should work fine.

I used either 16 0r 18 guage on mine. Some places I ran the resistor or cap leads thru long and routed them to the next point in the circuit.

Hi there, 22 AWG is for amp circuit wiring needs, 18-20AWG for filaments. Use solid core if you're going through the eyelets, if you're wrapping the hook up wire around component leads stranded is more flexible but not as sturdy. A low watt- low temp soldering iron is a must, and desoldering will have to be done very carefully. Good Luck! ART
