The SC is 15 watts with a 10" speaker. The Vibe is 5 watts with an 8" speaker. Quite different.

Hello Trukis,

The Super also has provision for a
2 button footswitch to change channels
and turn the F/X on and off.
Fotswitch is about $25.
Costs about $80 more if you need
these options.

Champ XD's real fun amps.

Cheers.

Also, the SuperChamp has a dedicated "clean" channel. The Vibrochamp is single channel, all "voices".

This was the tie-breaker for me in choosing the Super Champ. 8)

After several comparisons at the store between the two, Super Champ XD clearly won, and the modest price difference was well worth waiting a bit longer on layaway.

Me too. I had both for a week or two and sold the VC. Now I pretty much only use the clean on the SCXD.

I prefered the vibrochamp simply because I can wind it up and still have nearly neighbour friendly volume. I only ever use the champ setting though. Its way louder and more responsive to output breakup than the rest of the models. I initialy thought it may bypass the modeling section so I unplugged it. Fruitless.

Both good amps but the extra volume of the superchamp is quite surpluss to my requirements as are all the amp models. If I want it loud I'll just plug it into the power section of my Jcm. The champ sound on that amp is all I need. I found the blackface sounds to be quite unusual. Thin but mid peaked and not nasaly.

both great amps for the money. Cant recommend them highly enough for home use.

I had come to the same conclusions as nikininja and selected the VCXD. The difference in price was not significant, but I live in a condo complex and I don't play with a band so I'll never need the extra wattage you get from the SCXD and saved US$50 or so.
