hey guys thanks for the input on the last post . I have some more Q&A for my hunt for an amp .
I have heard in other forums that you can replace the 6v6 valves to 6L6's .
has anybody heard of this , and if so dose it increase the wattage and headroom .
Also has anybody tried the Custom Vibrolux reverb and how is it . And how do the 2X10's sound . thanks again for the help and input.

You cannot interchange 6V6s and 6L6s without rebiasing your amp. Biasing can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing -- which, I might add, is nothing to be ashamed of. If you're intent on more headroom, the 6L6s would probably give it to you, but they probably wouldn't sound as good with your amp.

As for the Vibrolux, it's a great sounding amp. I'm a fan of 10" speakers, and I think they do a nice job in pairs. The amp itself is plently loud, has a great tone, decent breakup and both the vibrato and reverb are nice and lush. It's portable and sounds great!
