Went down to the store after work today and picked up the Super Reverb! Literally brand new in box.

Did an A/B comparison to my Deville 212 and the SRRI is in another timezone. It has a sparkle that the HRDv just can't do.

Anyway, here's a shot with my Highway 1:

You're VERY lucky. Those things sound amazing. I wanted one, but for my use it would have been overkill. My DRRI sounds amazing too though- all these Fender re-issue amps are pretty awesome. I bought mine a year ago and still smile every time I plug into it and hit the first note. Congrats!

Excellent amp!

Yep you are hearing the difference between a real silverface / blackface circuit and what is in the hotrod'ed line.

You may want to consider checking out used Super Reverbs.I bought one 3 months ago and saved alot of money.I picked up a 75 silverface for 625 and it was in really nice shape .It is all original and well cared for.Just a suggestion .I know the SRRI are going for around 1600 new now. :o

Thanks guys! I got a chance today to really crank it at home. Goes right into OD at about 5.5. LOVE IT!

Now I just need to unload my HRDv on someone...

Wow, Powdered Toast Man, that is sick! I bet you're like Marty McFly with Doc Brown's giant amp. Congrats, and have fun with it! 8)

Ditching the HRDV to go with the Super Reverb, that will be on Sportscenter's top 10 plays tomorrow ^^ Looks right at home with that HW1 >_>
