I am a newbie to this forum. I recently purchased a used Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. For whatever reason I am getting very little output on all channels. I first thought it might be the tubes so I replaced all of them and still nothing. I checked the tranny (fearing it might be that) but hooking up a new transformer produced the same results- I have all of the volumes pegged and get very little volume. Please help me with any recommendations you might have. I am pretty familiar with Fender amps and I believe it has to be something blown inside. if anyone has any ideas what to check I would appreciate it!

Yes it always had volume, now it is maxed and with all channels and little output. It is crazy! I replaced the preamps and the power tubes and still the same! Uggh! very frustrating!

That sounds exactly like my BD did,
when it self de-soldered the heater trace to the V3 phase inverter tube.

One of the features of the HorRod amp line is its ability to self de-solder (or trace cracking) on the tube sockets. Also some of the 5-watt cement resistors have a way of failing.

Best option here might be a trip to the amp doctor.

Yep, and then Craigs List. Just kidding, but that's what I did. :D
