Can anybody advise me is there any way to modify the gain control of the Frontman 25? You see, there's a big jump in the gain turn between 2 1/2 to 3. I felt it would be good if I can control it gradually and I may get to use the gain drive in few stages.

Thank for the info Jeffo 46, but I guess you still didn't get my question fully. It's not so much what kinda of music I play but the control of this Frontman amp. Anyway, here's some brief info of me and my amps...I played many amps in my past 35 years and during that period I also bought a Fender Concert amp when I started going into music seriously. Now I'm using 2 of the Frontman for my bar - ROCKIN' ANGELS Jammin' Cafe.
If you really know what I mean regarding the gain control, you'll know the problem of Frontman 25. If the the gain starting from 0 to 10 then I should get the sweet tone from no drive to heavy drive. And in between I should get some sweet drive for the blues. It should not be a big jump from 2 1/2 (very little drive) to 3 (mid drive). I felt mid drive should kick in between 5 to 6 just like most amp character.
In order to maintain the same tone character from the clean channel to the drive channel while switching between the both, twitching the tone control between play needs super human speed.
So, in my years of modifying musical instruments, I believe there should be a proper way to get into this issue. That's why I'm seeking more experience advise before I go ahead to mod it.

My guess would be the use of either a linear taper pot, or an audio taper pot, if it is proper for an amp application. check it out by asking a trained amp tech.
