Has anyone put wheels on their 65 Twin Reverb Reissue ? If so, how do you do this and what type of wheels did you use ?

I gave wheels some thought, but instead decided to build a sturdy dolly with a removable handle. It worked out well and I used it on stage with the amp on top of it.

Dolly is easier, I've had rotten luck with breaking casters and wheels coming off things.

My 2 cents worth??

Save up for an amp case.
One here has wheels, and is padded inside to protect your amp.

I know that's a lot more than just a set of casters - but it not only has your wheels, but the bottom part can serve as a dolly, and you have the protection of a case as well. And that would allow you to still take the amp out and use the tilt back legs.

If you decide to just go with a set of casters - My Cyber-Twin SE came with a set. You could probably get them from a Fender amp parts source. But, be aware that there is a mounting plate that would require a sizable whole to be drilled - and that's at all four corners.

If you want to build a dolly - you might find a set of casters at a local hardware store.

Good Luck

You could do my favourite way... A skateboard? Works fine for me.

I bought some Fender style castors from mojo for about $20.00. I decided against mounting them to the amp and am in the process of building a dolly. I don't plan on taking it anywhere but the deck... :D
