There is really no comparison.I have a Bassman ri and a 75 silverface super reverb .I also have a blues deluxe and my deluxe gets some serious closet time these days. The tone of the vintage reissue or vintage amps is in another realm from the hotrod series.I only gig with my blues jr when i have to.One of these days i will break down and get a 57 deluxe or a deluxe reverb or both.My super reverb has some serious tone. You might want to check out the bassman some time. Some of the best natural overdrive i have ever heard. And I only paid 350 for it.

If you can get any Super Reverb in working condition for $500 you would be crazy not to get it. It will always be worth at least what you paid for it. The tone is great, the biggest problem with the amp is the weight and portability. I think the Deluxe Reverb is probably more popular because of it's size, but you can't go wrong at $500.
