You may need to check the reverb tank. This would require opening the amp. Check the wires connecting the reverb tank to the amp chassis. One of them might be loose.

Spring reverbs can break also, the little springs inside can break off. If it is broken, it can be easily replaced. You can buy replacement reverb tanks online.

I have replaced reverb tanks on several Fender amps but not an Acoustasonic Jr. I have one, but havent ever taken it apart. It shouldn't be a big deal though.

Hope this helps.

Interesting. And you are sure you have the Reverb button pushed in on the instrument channel, right?

Check the little wires in the reverb tank that connect the input and output jacks to the springs. They are very fragile and may be broken, or loose. I've seen that before.

If not, I cant think of anything else to check, it must be something in the circuit board for the reverb. I guess you would have to get a tech to look at it.

thx--everything including small springs look good--could a person with the tank off and visible watch for spring vibration as a way off testing it---I have the reverb button pushed in and has no effect with it in or out---my chorus tremelo effect does work--can you tell me the purpose of the second channel reverb send? -visible inspection of circuit board looks good?--may a transistor has gone/ thx bob

Bob,
If you bump the tank, while its on, do you get a boinging or crashing sound? It sounds like to me either the tank is dead or its the circuit. Only way to know for sure is put in a known good tank, if it still doesnt work then its the circuit. It could also be the reverb cables, but I kind of doubt it. I guess you could test for voltage at the input of the tank, but I'm not sure what the level should be, that's a little beyond my tech knowledge.

The reverb send on the second channel adjusts the amount of reverb for the mic or whatever you have plugged in. So you can have different amounts of reverb on the guitar and vocal.
