Does anyone know if fender ever made the 65' reissue twin reverb with a ground switch? If so, what exactly is it's intent?
Thanks in advance.

I choose other because you did not list the CS Twin Tweed. Out of the ones listed I would choose the Vibroking and the Bassman. All too loud for home use only though, IMHO. 8)

Here is some info on the ground switch. Look at page 5 of 7. Hope this helps!

I voted Other (for a Bandmaster w/reverb.)
If money were no object.
If I misunderstood the poll & the choices are only for those listed,
then I'd go w/ HRDeluxe.
I'm very pleased with mine .

I chose other and I would choose a "65DRRI," which I just did this last weekend-- and it's fabulous. I got the thing for 850 or so at GC, with a 10% off coupon, but I woulda paid the "new and improved" price if I had to.

Yes. Mine has one. It serves no purpose and is not connected to anything. On original Twins which had a two prong power cord, the ground switch connected a grounded capacitor to one side of the AC line or the other. This is not required for a three-wire cord setup but I guess they just left it on for historical correctness. A bit silly though.

Hey, thanks! It's been a humbling experience, as the amp itself tends to honestly produce whatever your pick/fingers are doing. I'm really beginning to learn to play.

If money were no object, I'd get one PTP custom built. It's a no brainer. If money were no object, you could get a bunch of HRDlx amps and have a ton of spares. :D

There you go.
With money not being an object, I'd go with
The Bandmaster/Reverb, PTP, with a Master & Presence (ala HRDeluxe)
(2)smaller 2/12 cabinets-All in Blonde/Oxblood.

as Steve Martin would say, "...and that's all I need. "

Hey Vinny, a Bandmaster? What are you some kind of stone soul guitar picker? I thought those were relegated to Fender's most neglected amps box. Didn't know any one still knew about them. Very Cool! ART
