Hello
I just got a used Hot Rod Deluxe (in Texas Red). Everything seems to be working well, except I really don't hear any change form the "bright switch". Is it supposed to be very subtle or should I hear a noticeable difference? Thanks!

It should be subtle and noticeable.

I find myself doing this often, perhaps because he really knows what he's talking about, but I again want to echo what 63supro said: it's subtle but should definitely be noticeable, switching on the "bright." That was my experience with my Hot Rod Deluxe.

+1 to Supro

It is a very nice, subtle effect, but you should notice it. I think it's great for switching between humbuckers and single coils.

Its noticeable but like Sup-ey says, subtle too. Its like a kick in the leg but only an itch for the result!!

Thanks for the replies gang. I got to play a little more today. I'm playing with buckers. I didn't really notice anything when strumming, but did hear it slightly when picking.

You should deffo be able to tell the difference with bright switch engaged, I have the new HRDx model, and when I turn the bright switch on it gives it a real treble boost, because that's what the bright switch does, it gives the amp a treble boost, It gets pretty jangle on mine when I BS it, like bell sounding, I use it all the time with my strat, to the untrained ear it should still be noticeable, low volumes as in 2 it's not as distinguishable as say 3, when mine is on it sounds similar to my mates deluxe reverb without the vibrato.
