I used to jam with two other guys and we used one of the older Acoustasonic SFX amps for vocals and acoustic guitar. We never gigged with it, but it sounded great and was loud enough to use with a drummer using wood whack sticks. This was the one we had: Image
32 effect settings and 2X80watt power amps through two speakers and a horn (I think).

I havent played through one of those but I do have an Acoustasonic Jr. It sounds great, although not very loud. But if I need more volume I just run the line out to a Roland keyboard amp.

I have one of the slave amp versions i use with my deville and its GODLY. There are also alot of complaints that people have but the're pretty stupid. A stereo amplifier creates such an unreal effect, it really lifts up the audiance (Especially if your playing songs like hallelujah by jeff buckley) And the sheer tone you get when you use one with a compressor and a tele is amazing. Even if you do something with alot of balls it can really make your solo's long and lasting and your rhythm big as a wall.

People say that they make a little noise but with a noise gate/suppressor its gone, and alright, its not insanely loud but it will do most places and with a condenser mic and into the pa and just pan it to one side works great (But for gigs that big you'd mic your master amp too). (Also it looks awesome when your amps stood on top of it).

thanks Atroxi,I definately need a pa for vocals, but I think the SFX has a 10" speaker and that may work for my Martin.I haven't tried my tele into it yet.Good Idea.

Thanks,

Robbie

yeah, the one in the normal SFX has a 12"" speaker so you end up with alot of bottom end to your stereo awesomeness.

And yeah, a pa would be better so that you get the sounds coming out of a different speaker instead of having to share.

Its all good.
