Need a great Amp for medium sized clubs and outdoor venues here in South Florida.I play folk/rock,country/rock along with the blues, usually with a 4 or 5 piece band.I'm currently using a Champ XD and been miking it,but the tone isn't as clear as I'd like.I think the twins are justtoo heavy.Any Suggestions?I play a Am Tele,Gibson Les Paul, and a 74 Martin D 35.

I would check out the 59 bassman reissue.54# or maybe the Deluxe Reverb.

I love my Deluxe Reverb RI, and it sounds like it may be exactly what you're looking for. The only way to be sure though, is to try one out. Good luck!!

You ever try a Pignose G40V? If you can get your hands on one to try it out you might be suprised. Stock they sound decent, but with new set of good quality tubes and an upgraded speaker, these things rock. Best of all, 40 watts of pure tube power at about $150 for the amp. $65 for new speaker and $70-$80 for new tubes and your in business. Total price, about $300. Where else are you going to find an all tube, 40W, single channel amp for that much. And it takes pedals great too. Just my 2 cents.
