I have a dead SCXD...tubes glow, channels switch, but not a peep out of it.

Verified that the problem is not:
Speaker
Tubes
Guitar cables
Fuse

It did have an intermittent scratchy, crackling sound, then finally all sound faded and a very slight burnt smell.

I tried 3 brand new JJ tubes...and same story...not a sound, but everything else appears to function normally.

What now...transformer or capacitor problem?

Any help would greatly be greatly appreciated!!!

If the guy I bought it from can find and endorse the receipt! It was purchased maybe 6 months ago.

you should check with Fender customer service. If he registered the amp when he bought it I think you are able to transfer the warranty with the serial number.

Hmm. Very similar to my problem. Know what it turned out to be?

My guitar cable jack.
