Other amp manufacturers mount tubes to the board, but the sockets are supported in a way as to not flex the board the way the Hot Rod Series does when you change the tubes. They are also properly heat sinked as well. The amp gets dogged for good reason. You can have them all.

In your opinion...

That's right. I speak of what I know and have been experiencing. Hopefully It'll be gone by next month if the trade is right. It won't be on another Fender Amp either. I'll be saving a bunch on Excedrin Migraine Aspirin.

I already have two of them and your's sound's as if it has been moded so much it's no wonder it's not dependable. Fender knows what they are doing! They have built a name on it for many years.

You know nothing about me, or my equipment. I played professionally for over 25 years and made a decent living as a studio and backup musician. My HRDlx has never been modded. The only changes were tubes. I own other amps, I'm pissed because the HRDlx isn't cheap and I plunked down my hard earned bucks for it. I don't have a problem with the way it sounds, just the way it's built.

My HRDlx is the only thing I have to complain about. If you look around on other forums, you'll see I'm not the only one with tons of problems. I'm not afraid to call a POS a POS.

Fender didn't build it's name on the Hot Rod Deluxe. It was made over 50 years ago on its quality amps and guitars. The new FMIC is just a riding on a old reputation. What they are doing to their amps now is much worse than anything CBS ever did to them.

If you think the HRDlx is so great you probably never owned a real Blackface or Silverface amp so you would not really know what the Classic Fender Sound really is. The reason I bought it was because it DIDN't sound like a Fender amp and thought it had potential as a decent Blues amp. I already have a few other Fender amps.

Do any serious gigging with it and you'll find out when you have to schlep out to the van for your backup amp during a set.

The problem is in not just stating "your opinion" but your trashing of a amp that many others enjoy and are happy having...

Why not give it a rest and enjoy life...? Or do you need this avenue to give your life "purpose"...?

You know how I feel about it, so why read what I have to say? No one forces you, just skip my post.

I bother you as much as someone who say's how great their Hot Rod series amp is and in the same paragraph asks what mods do I need or what speaker is best, or what tubes are best because my great amp is making a strange noise when I hit an open E string.

If you enjoy your amp, then enjoy it. My mission is if I can steer one person to a better, more reliable amp like a a DRRI or a Super Reverb or Bassman, then I have accomplished something.
What's the purpose of an amp that is so hard to control the volume on or how horrible the reverb sounds past 2?

If you don't like what I write, don't read it because it will only spoil your day.

Cheers

Because you do not just state your opinion...it is like you demand that everyone adhere to YOUR beliefs about this amp...

I have read just about every thread on the HRDLX and you are on every one, running the amp down...what does that say to someone who is observing your behaviour?? Clearly you are obsessed with this topic...

I can't help read what you write because you are on every bloody thread that I want to investigate (HRDLX)...

As for the reverb sounding horrible past 2, I think it is awesome sounding!

But then again I do not post on EVERY thread that deals with this amp...

Give it a rest already...!

Kind of helps prove my point. Edit
I consider what I say a public service announcement.
Look, I don't need anyone to adhere to anything. It's you money, your ears. If someone verbally trashes a piece of equipment I own, I don't get into an argument over it. I have lots of stuff people don't like.
But at least it works and doesn't spend any time in the shop so I can make a living with it. Reliability is a pet peeve of mine.
If someone asks an opinion of something, and I can give it I will. If it's goo I'll say so and won't stop praising it. If it's junk, it's junk. There are so many negatives known about the amp some guy has a web site on how to keep it going.

Enjoy your amp, I wish you nothing but the best with it.

"Prove your point"...EXACTLY...!

I do enjoy my amp and can find counter-arguments for anything you post...

What does that prove? That you have an "opinion"...welcome to the world of opinions...!

Exactly, it's my opinion based on the fact that I own one and what has been my experience with it. Not my beliefs. I've been inside the amp the first time it failed. I know how it's built. I know how the tubes are attached and have serviced electronic equipment in the past. I even built some of my own effect pedals from scratch and etched my own boards. They still work after 20 years too. My home made boards have wider and more stable traces than my amp.

So as you said "Welcome to the world of opinions", but don't get upset if one differs from yours.

I'm not upset that you think differently than I do...In my opinion the HRDLX is a awesome amp sound wise better than most when chasing the ultimate clean sound...

However I do not stick my nose into every thread and comment on how noisy the various other amps are...

.it's my opinion based on the fact that I own one (HDRLX)and what has been my experience with it. Not my beliefs. (Sound Familiar)? "I own one too"...!

Again your spouting nothing but your opinion which is worth a dime in the real world

So what's your point? I have just as much right to say mine is junk as you do to say yours is awesome. You got a good one, I didn't. I know more people who didn't than did. I wish you'd just get off my back and not read my threads. I personally don't care what you think or think about me for that matter.

Aren't we getting a little testy? I don't want to read your threads but you keep posting your rantings on the ones I want to read...

You care...or else you would quit posting on this subject...it seems to be your "main focus " on these boards...
