Love this little sucker, great tone! Can just pick it up and go out on the deck without hurting myself! Got three story house and the Hot Rod DeVille212 is too much in every respect; weight, bulk and too much amp for inside my (or most anybody's) house! My Blues JR. is the perfect amp for me, but this fills some sort of void (imagined void?)
love my Epiphone Valve JR. stack, but a little difficult to pick up and carry outside or up and down stairs! The first time I saw this "reissue" in Frontline I loved it. Although I was skeptical of a 6" speaker as I didn't even have anything smaller than 12" I still might try to shoehorn some good 8" in there just for curiosity's sake, but for now to borrow a line from McDonalds; I'm lovin it!!

Congrats on the new member of the family 8)

I like the way how you talked yourself into it

I need a practice amp and I was thinking a RolandCube30 as they sound good to my ears, it has 2 channels, delay, reverb, effects etc etc etc. And the Champ600 for the same price has in two inputs and one volume knob, but I am thinking Champ600 all the way

Lawl I got a HRDV 212 too and bought a champ 600 for the exact same reasons ^^ Nothing like being able to pick up your amp and moving it without getting out of breath, not waking the neighbors and still soundin good >_>

Hi Greg,
I have a Gretsch Electromatic, I think its the same amp, just in a different package. Yeah these little things are great. I play it most of the time

Next amp purchase is a 600 Champ for me also..Well after i get my Blues Jr out of layaway...But the problem is i bought the blues jr saying i needed something smaller then my Deville..So the misses said okay i know you have a bad back so go ahead and get the blues jr..So now im a couple weeks away from paying that off and everytime i make a payment i play the 600 champ and now im hooked on it also..
I have a plan though.. I think the 600 looks vintage enough that if i could sneak it into the house which because of it size shouldn't be to hard and she very seldom comes into the studio anyway ..So once its in the studio i could bring it out and when she says where did you get that i could say this old thing ive had this for along time now...

I think a much better plan is that you buy a new US Strat and get the Champ 600 free with it, in line with Fender's current deal. Your wife couldn't possibly object then could she?

I love mine. It sounded nice stock, but I did do a mod to get more drive that I found on 300guitars.com. I changed some of the resistors and caps as well as the tubes (EH 6V6 and a SovTek 12AX7) and speaker (Jenson Mod) and it is so much dirtier. I plugged it into my Blackheart's speaker and it just made it sound incredible, you really heard what the 6" speaker lacks. I'm going to have to get it into a larger cab with at least a 10" speaker. I know I can just plug into a larger cab, but a combo is just neater looking. If anyone wants to check the mod out, it's here: http://www.300guitars.com/diy/diy-hot-r ... mpion-600/
