this seems odd to me! anyway think im gonna contact fender, anyone know best route to do so?

All of Fenders amps are shipped in boxes with protection and booklets, warranty cards, etc. I don't know why music store employees tell you otherwise! :? You can do all your searches here in the customer support section. Good luck and congrats!

I have a Hot Rod Deluxe. It came in a factory box, with manual, warranty paperwork, etc. Perhaps it was on display model on the floor? If that is the case....I would've probably asked for a discount.

Also..........a cover for the amp should've been included.

I got the HRD in the ash finish not long ago - came with footswitch, manual, cover and standard 12 month warranty. When I asked for the box - they told me they toss the amp boxes and only keep the guitar boxes as they're easier to store. Despite that, it's a fantastic amp. Good luck with your acquisition.

hey really happy for you and your purchase. totally think the salesman was full of it. unless you bought the floor model, it should have come in brand new box with the sealing tape never broken and full of the documentation.

i was wondering though if you could help me now that you have it. i am really considering one, and have had little opportunityto play one. i am concerned that it is way more power (so too much volume) and so i was wondering if you are able to get reallly nice tones out of the second channel by using the master volume. so can you use that and get nice tones at lower volumes? any answer or thoughts about that and your new amp would be so appreciated! thank you!

If your afer a clean sound then this amp is the ticket...! I just play around home and turn it down for that...and yes I use the second channel as well...You just have to turn it down and it will work fine for you...

Mine came with a 5 Year Warranty. I'm glad it did.
