Hi,

I bought a Fender Tweed pro-junior a few months ago and it is amazing. The sound is awesome, and the tweed gives it a great vintage look, but I really havent found out too much about it. Kind of puzzling, from the few things ive heard its a special edition that came out during the early 90's, but thats all I know. Can anyone shed some light on my amp?

All I can say is that I own one too and they are great sounding amps. Maybe we shouldn't let the secret out?

Tell me about it, they do sound awesome! Im just dying to know more about it. I saw in a book about Fender amps saying that it was one of four special edition amps released in the 90's, but thats really it. I guess the secrets out!

Fender took a decidedly no-frills approach to the Pro Junior - the amplifier features an on/off switch, a volume control, and a tone control. And, that's it. This might be problematic if the Pro Junior didn't sound great to begin with. But it does.

Play a guitar through the Pro Junior at quieter volumes, and the sound is clean and warm. Turn up the volume, and the guitar sound fattens up even more, and starts to "break up" (aka distort... a generally desirable guitar sound). It's a simple, straightforward design that yields great sounding results.

Yep. Pro Junior walks all over the Blues Junior. I don't get the inverse popularity... do you REALLY need that wimpy reverb?

Yes, you do!!!!

But then again, if you spend some money on a reverb pedal, overdrive pedal, speaker, and EQ boost, then you may actually get the same, or better sound for the same price as a tweed blues junior.

But I do think it is a fine amp.

Why do you think it is bad, SlapChop?
