Whenever I play certain fretted notes such as an A on my guitar, my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe makes this noise similar to that of paper flapping or buzzing.

The noise is blatantly apparent, especially when I turn the volume up.

It is extremely irritating and I cannot find the cause.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be the problem? Or better yet a solution? :?

Hi Tweed, How fresh are the tubes and power filters? If you strike the note and get the buzz going, will it sustain long enough for someone to lightly touch each tube, thus damping any loose elements and changing the capacitance of that tube? Have you tried it with another guitar and cord? Have you checked the speaker plug/ or tried another 8ohm speaker? Does it happen in the clean and overdrive modes? These are the easiest tests that come to mind. Good Luck
