anyone ever have any problems with a rattle when you hit certain notes on a Hot rode deluxe? it's only 40 days old, is there a way to tighten them up? or just return to retialer, or go straight to warranty service center?
appreciate any feedback.

Id use the warranty and have it checked out. Anything that you do on your own might void the warranty.

Good luck!

The HRDlx is seriously prone to tube rattle as are many combos. The tubes are way too close to the speaker. Eurotubes sells JJ's that are heavy duty 6l6 designed just for that problem. Great sounding tubes too. I use tube dampers on mine in all my combos. I'd make Fender replace them. If it's the output tubes, be sure they replace them both and check the bias.

You will not void the warranty by changing tube brands as long as the bias is set correctly. It didn't void mine.

thanks. took it back to music shop, had the owner play it, heard the buzz, and we will have warranty service center take a look. hopefully new tubes, re bias, and I will be jamming, as amp is only a month old. thanks for the suggestion.

Figure out which tube it is and replace it, or let the shop do it for you. This happened on my Blues Dlx RI after only a week but all is fine now months later. It's probably a faulty pre-amp tube, easy to replace if annoyingly costly, of course you can try and get your dealer to relpace it for you if they're nearby.
