Howdy. This is my first time here. I have a Fender Deville Hotrod amp. I love it. However, I have just discovered that one of the speakers has a horrible buzz whenever I play a note on the low E-string. I'm wondering if I've blown the speaker. (I don't play loud. However, my children pushed the buttons and tweaked the knobs and the amp came on at full volume once... yay. I wasn't happy.)

Here are my questions:
Can a buzzing speaker be fixed?
Can I buy a replacement speaker from Fender?

I've played for about 30 years now.

Thank you very much for any suggestions you might have.

How do you know the speaker is the problem? It may be a tube or something loose on the amp. Tubes can rattle. If you can try it with a known good speaker before buying a new one it would be advantageous.

Best test would be to plug your amp into a cabinet, bypassing the amp speakers.

Not so! That would bypass any possible cabinet issues and may give a false impression. Start with the simple and work to complex issues. Make sure everything is tight first.
